Welcome to Mrs. Lyman's website! I would like to take the time to welcome your child to my classroom. This is my sixth year teaching at Naval Avenue. Prior to teaching, I was a government employee serving in the USAF and working at PSNS. Out of the 30 years I have working, teaching by far is where my passion lies.

                  When you visit my classroom, you will see students taking responsible risks while they have fun learning. I am firm, consistent, and have high expectations.  I am completely dedicated to your child's learning. The rules in my classroom are:

      Respect everyone and all school materials.
      Complete all work.
      Never give up!

            Homework will be sent home on Fridays.  The homework will be due the following Friday if you need more time please let me know.

Birthday Etiquette:

If you intend to send treats in for your child's birthday, please let me know. I usually will have the celebrations the last 30 minutes of the day. Most importantly, students will not be allowed to pass out birthday invitations within the classroom unless every student in the class is invited  This is to ensure no one in our class feels left out!

            If you would like to volunteer or chaperone any field trips our class may take please come in to the front office and complete a volunteer form. These forms take approximately 2 weeks to complete the required background checks. Don't miss out - fill out your form today!
