LANGUAGE ARTS/READING

 

As students enter Mountain View Middle School they transition from the primary to the secondary portion of their K-12 education. In 6th grade the students are introduced to the SpringBoard curriculum provided by the College Board. This curriculum is continued through the end of 12th grade.

 
 
Springboard Student BooksSpringBoard is a unique, comprehensive program that enables students to build the skills and understanding they need for success in AP courses and college-level work. This powerful program provides rigorous English and mathematics lessons for students in grades 6-12.
 
 
 
The Language Arts department also use two new computer programs to help assist students who need remediation. Both Read 180 and System 44 are provided by Scholastic Inc.
