Armin Jahr Elementary Interim Campus
Now open: Armin Jahr’s Interim School Campus
Things are moving right along with preparations for the construction of our new Armin Jahr Elementary School!
As you know, Armin Jahr and View Ridge will be built concurrently, with construction scheduled to begin this fall! Our target move-in date for the new Armin Jahr school building is December 2026. Due to site limitations, Armin Jahr will be rebuilt on its current site, necessitating the demolition of the existing school.
This means we are learning together in a secure interim campus adjacent to the East Bremerton Community Gym during construction!
Interim campus highlights:

Modular buildings: As shown in the rendering on the right, in addition to the gym, the campus features comfortable modular buildings for classrooms, the office, the library, and more.

Modern facilities: Restrooms has running water and flushable toilets. The gym will be used for PE, lunches and rainy day recess.

Security: Student safety is our top priority. The campus is secured with perimeter fencing and security cameras throughout.
Transportation Information
For safety reasons, walking to and from the Interim Campus will not be permitted.

Bus transportation
No pick-up or drop-off is allowed at the back of campus (near the Boys & Girls Club). School District buses and community partner shuttles/vans will use this for pick-up and drop-off. No cars will be allowed in the bus loop.
In addition to the regular Armin Jahr bus routes B, D & F, we’ve added an additional route (Y) for all Armin Jahr students who live in the “walk zone” around the old school. Please note: Transportation will not be provided for open enrollment or choice transfer students.

Student drop-off and pick-up:

Please continue to use Cherry Ave to 30th Street to Spruce St to access the Armin Jahr campus for pick-up.

No pick-up or drop-off is allowed at the back of campus (near the Boys & Girls Club). This area is for buses only.

When exiting the campus, turn right onto Spruce Ave. Please do not cut through the Saar’s parking lot.

Pull all the way forward into the campus parking lot to help keep traffic moving smoothly.

Parents will be greeted in the car line by an AJ staff member, who will notify the teacher when your child is ready for release.
Parent Walk-Up Check-In Area

There will be a designated Parent Walk-Up Check-In area.

Note: If you park along E 30th Street you may get blocked in by the student pick-up line. We recommend parents park in the gravel lot rather than along 30th Street.
End-of-Day transportation Changes / Early Pick-Ups
- End-of-day transportation changes must be made by 3 PM (1 PM Wednesdays).
- Early pick-ups must be prior to 3:15 PM (1:15 PM Wednesdays).
