Student Representatives to the Board
Student board representatives play a vital role in ensuring student voices are heard at the highest level of decision-making.
Empowering Student Voices
The Bremerton School District is proud to have two student representatives on the School Board.
Each spring a junior will be selected to join the Board and the senior representative at its September 2024 meeting and begin their 2-year term.
In this way, each year will begin with one experienced and one new/incoming Student Representative to the Board.
These student leaders play a vital role in ensuring student voices are heard at the highest level of decision-making. They bring a unique perspective to the Board, providing valuable insights into student experiences and concerns.
The Role of Student Representatives
The students serve in an advisory capacity and may cast non-binding, advisory votes on items the Board is considering. They contribute by providing student insight and perspective on decisions that affect students.
As a part of their role, these students serve as a liaison for the Bremerton High School Associated Student Body and report to students about the work of the Board and District activities.
