Bremerton School District provides meals that meet federal requirements and guidelines. The program is operated by the District’s Child Nutrition Services (CNS) department. CNS offers a wide variety of foods and is particularly proud to emphasize locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
All meals will be provided at no cost to families for the 2024-25 school year. While applications are not required for students to receive meals, all families are asked to complete the annual income survey as a part of the annual ABCs process. If you are unable to complete it there, you can get a paper copy from your child's school, or print and fill out the form. The family income survey captures information required for the District to receive state and federal funding for education programs.
If you would like more information regarding possible 504 accommodations, please contact John Welsh at 360-473-1012 or email john.welsh@bremertonschools.org.
Students needing a food substitution due to a disability may complete a diet prescription form that specifies specific substitutions by a doctor or nurse-practitioner. For food allergies, school nurses and CNS staff both must have the correct documentation. You can request a form from the school nurse or CNS office.
