The specific skills and qualifications you'll need will vary depending on the classified position for which you are applying. If you are interested in working as a guest paraeducator, or for substitute clerical, child nutrition services (CNS), custodial, and bus driver positions please complete our online job application.
In order to be hired into a permanent paraeducator position, you must meet one of the following three requirements:
This national test is offered at our local OESD #114 and at other locations around the state. Check the ParaPro test schedule here and register for a date! Payment is required at time of registration. If none of these dates work for your schedule you can contact the Olympic ESD at 360-479-0993 for National ParaPro testing dates and information.
If you have a current Teaching Certificate or Substitute Teaching certificate that is issued by the State of Washington, you can fill out our online job application. The Certificated Substitute rate of pay is $200 per 7.5 hours a day.

If you are interested in becoming an emergency substitute teacher you must hold any bachelor of arts or science (B.A. or B.S.) degree from an accredited college or university to be able to obtain a certificate.
