Armin Jahr Elementary Replacement

Construction begins fall 2025

We’re excited to announce a full school replacement of Armin Jahr Elementary (AJ)to better serve our students and community. The existing school will be fully demolished and the new 60,000 square foot school will be built on the current site, with a target move-in date of December 2026.  The new, 60,000 SF school

Our new school will feature:

• Modern two-story design with flexible learning environments to meet the diverse educational needs of every student.
• Welcoming, inclusive spaces designed to support engagement with Spanish-speaking families and the broader school community.
• Outdoor learning courtyards to support hands-on learning and arts programming.
• Spacious library with natural light and scenic mountain views.
• Improved traffic flow and safety with separate areas for parent drop-off and bus loading.
• Environmental repairs and wetland restoration to enhance the natural environment and support outdoor education

During construction, our school community will continue learning together at a secure interim campus on Wheaton Way next to the East Bremerton Community Gym.  Learn more about our interim campus.
