The Bremerton School District EP&O Levy

Levy funding is critical to maintaining programs and services that are not fully funded by the state, such as athletics, and fine arts, school security, and staff positions that directly serve students.

Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O Levies)

School districts rely on local, voter-approved funding measures to fill the gap between the funding the state provides for schools and what it actually costs to educate our youth.  Approximately 15 percent of the District’s operating budget comes from the EP&O levy. It funds:

The Disrict’s current EP&O levy expires at the end of calendar year 2026. Levy funding is critical to maintaining programs and services that are not fully funded by the state, such as athletics, athletics and fine arts, school security, and staff positions that directly serve students.

The Bremerton School District Advisory Council reviewed levy options for the upcoming February 2026 election. The Bremerton School Board is considering Advisory Council and stakeholder survey responses and will be voting on a resolution during the Novembe 13 board meeting.

The District Advisory Council will review all of the input as they make a recommendation to the Bremerton School Board on the levy resolution.
