About Facilities

Facilities

Beyond brick and mortar: well-maintained schools aren't just about aesthetics; they have a profound impact on the learning environment.

Facilities

We believe well-maintained schools foster a positive learning environment for our students. Our commitment to high appearance and safety standards goes beyond aesthetics. It's about creating a space where students feel comfortable, respected, and inspired to learn.

This dedication extends beyond the walls of our classrooms. The Bremerton community takes great pride in our schools, and the unwavering community support is essential for building and maintaining these vital spaces.

In February 2024, the Bremerton School District was one of only seven school districts in the state to pass a bond, thanks to the tremendous support for our District. We invite you to learn more about our bond program, which includes the construction of two new elementary schools!

Together, we create a thriving school district that fosters student success and reflects the pride of our community.

Facility use/rental

Our schools and facilities are part of the community, and we gladly make them available for use during non-school hours when they are not being used for school activities.

Register for the Small Works Roster

The Bremerton School District utilizes the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) Rosters for some small construction projects under $300,000. This means our Small Public Works Roster is on the MRSC Rosters shared online database. Businesses interested in working with our District on projects using a roster contracting process must register at the MRSC Rosters website and select the Bremerton School District in your application. It is free. If you have roster registration questions, please contact MRSC Rosters at mrscrosters@mrsc.org or by calling 206-625-1300.

Facilities Maintenance

Regular maintenance prevents costly repair and extends the life of our school buildings, maximizing the value of our community's investment in education. Maintaining our schools is also critical for the learning environment.

Our maintenance staff works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our buildings functioning well and in top condition with comfortable temperature, proper lighting, and well-functioning equipment. We work to create and maintain a safe, healthy, and inspiring space, contributing to a positive learning experience for all students.

Custodial Services

Our dedicated custodial staff plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and productive learning environment in our schools. They go far beyond keeping our buildings sparkling clean. Custodians are our first line of defense, ensuring buildings meet high safety standards and assisting with security measures. They help set up facilities for community groups, and work collaboratively with teachers, ensuring classrooms are well-prepared for learning. During summer break, they conduct thorough cleaning, ensuring schools are fresh and ready for the new year. Custodial staff often build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement and support.

Groundskeeping

Our talented and dedicated grounds crew plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and inspiring learning environment for our students. Their work goes beyond landscaping.   Our grounds crew strives to create beautiful, park-like settings that provide an inviting environment for our students, staff and the broader Bremerton community!
