The District offers Developmental PreK (preschool) for children 3-5 yrs old who qualify for special education services.
Developmental PreK programs are offered at Armin Jahr Elementary, Crownhill Elementary, Naval Avenue Elementary, and View Ridge Elementary Arts Academy.

Children who reside in the Bremerton School District boundaires who are currently getting birth to three services from a provider such as the Holly Ridge Center will be evaluated for school district services close to their 3rd birthday. Note: Holly Ridge services do not guarantee school district services.
Children may also qualify through the District’s Child Find screening. Any parent who is concerned about their child’s development can request a Child Find screening to see if evaluation is warranted.
Jump Start to Kindergarten
Jump Start to Kindergarten is a partial-day program for students that will be entering kindergarten the following school year. During Jump Start students will learn and practice school routines, social skills, and ensure they are ready for kindergarten! Our program is also fully integrated with our developmental preschool classrooms.
Jump Start to Kindergarten is open to preschool aged children who reside in the Bremerton School District boundaries and who will be enrolled in kindergarten in the Bremerton School District for the following school year.

Kindergarten registration opens in early February each year!
Child Find services identify when children may need additional support the areas of speech, movement, learning, and behavior.
Children who turn five between September 1st and October 31st may be eligible to enroll in kindergarten if they pass an Early Entrance Test.
